Compliance Audit Nurse

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various compliance-related audits for documentation and reimbursement purposes
  • Develop and present annual staff compliance training
  • Monitor compliance throughout organization with Code of Conduct
  • Educate physicians on documentation and coding requirements
  • Research and communicate changing Medicare regulations and requirements
  • Monitor MCH Compliance Policy

 

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Texas with a bachelor degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of two years experience in compliance audits
  • CPC Certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of coding systems:
    • ICD-9
    • CPT
  • Basic knowledge of and interest in Medicare billing rules and regulations
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with members of the medical and administrative staff
