Billing and Collection Manager

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing the billing and collection function of a healthcare facility, preferably in a physician-provider setting and will hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities will include managing:

  • Coding (ICD-9 and CPT)
  • Insurance filing (Medicare and third party)
  • Collections and Insurance follow-up
  • Data entry
  • Cashiering functions

The ideal candidate must be proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, Access and have excellent organizational, management, and communication skills. Experience with VerSyss/Mends and UDE software a plus. Qualified applicants should possess demonstrated success in billing/collections outcomes, ability to stay current, understand and train others in Medicare regulations pertaining to physician billing, ability to extract and analyze data and utilize it to make recommendations on improvements in work processes, a thorough understanding of negotiating and managing managed care contracts, problem solving, multi-tasking and teambuilding. Seeking an individual who is goal-oriented and customer-service oriented.
